The recent bad weather has severely impacted parcel delivery services in Scotland and Newcastle, in addition Interlink Express has unprecedented volumes of parcels being shipped by our customers. The two factors combined mean that our Scottish and Newcastle depots now have severe delivery backlogs.

We are making every possible effort to deliver all the parcels we have, this has included working on the last two Saturdays and Sundays, and we believe we have made an industry leading effort to maintain a delivery service even into the worst affected areas.

We understand that this announcement will mean disappointment and inconvenience to our customers and we deeply regret that but we are convinced that a policy of openness and honesty regarding this matter is paramount.

Interlink Express delivery services to the rest of the country will continue, and collections from Scotland and Newcastle for delivery outside of these areas will continue.

Interlink Express will continue to post daily updates on our website and to send detailed update bulletins to our customers as the situation changes.

The Snuggie uses the recognisable Snuggie commercials to promote ‘head to toe warmth’ with ‘no more cold toes’. However, it would seem that this was tested on only a selection of petite Snuggie users, as anyone over 5ft 5” might struggle to comfortably cover their entire body without getting cramp. The Slanket, although slightly more expensive than its rival, advertises the same message of total coverage and warmth but in contrast to the Snuggie this message is delivered. The Slanket measures a huge 60” x 95” making sure that even the giants among us are completely enclosed within the blanket.

Unlike the Slanket and its oversized long sleeves, the Snuggie again comes up on the small side. The cramped, tight fitting sleeves completely conflict with the key Snuggie selling point of maneuverability and flexibility for the hands, whilst remaining warm and snug.

Both blankets are made from 100% polyester and are machine washable. However the quality of the material used is quite different. The Slanket is made out of polyester microfibers, making it much thicker and fleecier than the Snuggie’s thinner, static-prone version.

The Snuggie comes in three different colours, offering a very limited choice compared to the Slanket’s multiple and varied palette which includes safari and camo print designs. As well as the choice in colour the Slanket also offer more size options with Slankets created especially for kids, couples and travel.

Despite the Snuggie’s downfall in quality it is a cheaper option. However, this won’t help keep your feet warm on a chilly winter evening when they are sticking out the end!

Taking all these factors into consideration, it proves that although being the pricier option, the Slanket is the best product in quality, choice and in delivering a blanket with sleeves that does its job!
